Remembering WTC in Films…

Standard

The World Trade Center’s recognizable Twin Towers were featured in quite a few films from different decades…

The 1970s-

The 1980s-

The 1990s-

The 2000s-

I just watched a video montage called Twin Tower Cameos by Dan Meth on My Modern Met, watch it here.  Meth had this to say about his tribute:

“From 1969 to 2001, the Twin Towers made countless cameos in Hollywood films.  Sometimes featured prominently in the foreground, sometimes lurking in the distance. This montage celebrates the towers’ all-too-short film career with songs that capture the passing decades. Man, I miss them.”

While it’s sometimes painful and sad to see those two, proud towers in films from the past…I do appreciate that we have countless proof of their impact on New York’s skyline and America’s culture.  There they are, documented…for future generations to see.
