DIY Candy…

Standard

My favorite treats are Twix Bars & Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.  I can’t get enough of them!  Luckily for me, there are homemade versions of both!  Have you made candy before?  I’m always a little intimidated by melting chocolate & trying to create caramel…but these look too good not to make!

…maybe if I make my own, I won’t eat them so quickly…maybe!

Do you have a recipe for your favorite candy?

Unusual Landscapes…

Standard

Am I looking at beautiful fall foliage here…not quite?  There is more than meets the eye with artist Tom Deininger’s landscape sculptures…a whole lot more—of junk to be precise.  In fact it’s wires, cables, plastic toys and other alternative materials which create the unusual, but beautiful landscapes.  Deininger’s eye for turning miscellaneous junk into impeccable art creates a result which is both visually striking & inspiring.

…Be sure to check out Deininger’s site for more of his innovative art.

Literature Snippet…

Standard

The forests had put on their sober brown and yellow,

while some trees of the tenderer kind

had been nipped by the frosts

into brilliant dyes of orange, purple, and scarlet.
